The first ever Barry Pride was held on 21st September 2019 on Barry High Street, sponsored by Spectrum Collections.

From everyone who worked to make the event possible and everyone who attended the day thank you so much. It was such  an incredible atmosphere and we loved every second.

Barry Pride is an event organised by volunteers and is the first Pride event to be held in Barry.

We hope to encourage people to come together to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community, commemorate the work that has already been achieved and educate on what still needs to be done to overcome the prejudice that many still face.

Everyone is welcome to join us for our family friendly day and we hope to create a safe space where everyone feels accepted and important conversations can happen.

There are lots of ways to get involved with Barry Pride. From having a community stall, becoming a food trader, volunteering, giving a talk, to simply helping spread the word. If you are interested in being involved check out one of the options below or get in touch.

Volunteers are essential to this event. Would you like to help marshal, set up, litter pick or just help us make sure the event runs smoothly? Please get in touch on our email address.

Help us spread the word on social media by sharing our posts, tagging anyone you think might be interested.

We have over 40 amazing stalls for you to browse including members of our LGBTQ+ community, local traders and charities.

Barry Pride has been nominated for Community Event of the Year at the Bro Radio Community Awards 2020!
